World Book Day at Kensington
Kensington Primary School had yet another successful World Book Day, celebrated by all children and staff. In classes, the children really enjoyed making their own wooden spoon puppets based on their favourite characters. Children listened to some online storytelling sessions held by some famous authors and took part in some online masterclasses. There were also lots of other activities based on a variety of books and famous authors. We had some amazing costumes worn by children and staff joined in the fun too! We also held a book fair in the afternoon, which our Year 6 pupil volunteers help set up. Year groups were given time slots to visit the book fair for children to buy books of their choice. Parents also visited the book fair after school. We earned some commission for our school and were rewarded with lots free books for our school library.
